생활영어1 (big guns=필살기)

1) I'm going to tell a little story about something that
happened to me last weekend.
지난 주말에 저한테 있었던 일에 대해 이야기 할께요.

2)So I was visiting with my sister
who has two children who are my nieces.
제 여동생을 방문 했는데,여동생에게는 아이가 두명 즉 제 조카가 두명 있어요.

3)And we took a car ride which was about an hour long.
그리고 저희는 한시간 정도 차를 타고 갔어요.

4)So as you may know ,
car rides can be kind of challenging for little kids.
아시다시피, 차를 타고 가는건 어린아이들에게는 힘들수 있어요.

5)They get kind of bored, they get a little restless
in their chairs, their car seats.
지루해 하고 , 카시트안에서 가만히 있지를 못 해요.

6)So we would sing songs and that would work
for a few minutes.
그래서 저희는 노래하기도 했는데,그러면 몇분 정도는 효과가 있었어요.

7)And then we would make animal noises and let them guess
"Oh, what sound is that?""What animal is that?"
그리고 동물 울음 소리를 내보고는 맞혀보라고 했어요.
"이건 무슨 소리지?"이건 무슨 동물이지?"

8)And then at some point ,you know, you kind of run out of animal sounds
so the big guns come out and then it's just cookies.
그러다가 어느 시점이 되면 동물 소리가 다 떨어져요.
결국엔 필살기가 나오죠 쿠키말이에요.

9)It's cookies.Snacks,Snacks.It's the only thing that really satiates them and really,
you know ,keeps them occupied. Snacks.
쿠키예요.과자요. 아이들을 정말로 만족 시키고 뭔가 하고 있게 만드는건 과자밖에 없어요.
