The Ant and the Chrysalis
One day, an ant was running around for food.
He came across a chrysalis that was about to change its form.
The chrysalis moved its tail. This made the ant stop and look.
The ant realized that the chrysalis was alive.
"Poor, said animal!" cried the ant.
"What a sad fate you have! I can run about as much as I like,
and climb up the tallest tree, but you are stuck in your shell with the power only to move a little bit.
The chrysalis heard all this, but did not try to make any reply.
A few days later, when the ant passed that way again,
nothing but the sheli remained.
Wondering what had become of the chrysalis, the ant suddenly felt himself shaded,
and fanned by the gorgeous wings of a beautiful butterfly.
"Look at me now," said the butterfly, "the friend you so pitied!
Tell me now of your powers to run and climb, but I won't listen for long."
The butterfly rose in the air, floating on the summer breeze.
Soon the beautiful butterfly was lost to the sight of the ant forever.
Often, appearances are deceptive.
