Hi Seong-Ja,
Thank you for your lovely message.
I am well thank you. I have settled in here at NZIS quite nicely now,
but have been kept quite busy with work since we met.
My Christmas was one of the quietest that I have had in a very long time.
We had a traditional Christmas lunch here at school, cooked by the teachers.
I also rang New Zealand and spoke to my sister and brother, and their families.
I also was able to ring and talk to both of my daughters. Other than that I didn't do anything special.
I have one older brother and one younger sister. They both have children too.
So, I have four nephews and three nieces.Do you celebrate Christmas in your family Seong-Ja?
I have not managed to go hiking yet.
But I would like to climb some of the mountains around this area.
It would certainly be nice to able to do this together.
I am pleased to hear that you saw our Principal, Lara, on television.
She will be delighted to know that too.
The school has recently started a new advertising campaign for new pupils.
I think that that may have been the programme that you mentioned.
I am looking forward to the New Year celebrations Seong-Ja.
I guess that we will have two sets of festivities.
The calendar New Year on 1 January and also the Lunar New Year on 15 January.
Will you have all your family together for New Year? I hope you do, as it is a very special time.
Best wishes to you and your family,
Paul
