An Ant and A Chrysalis


One day, an ant was searching around nimbly for something to eat. on his travels, he came across a chrysalis that was about to change.
The ant sneered down at the chrysalis.
“Hey, you are such a poor little creature. You are just a cocoon and cannot move anywhere!”
Listening to the ant’s harsh words, the bug inside the chrysalis did not reply. She just closed her eyes and hid deep inside until the ant went away.
Several days later, the ant went past the chrysalis again, but this time it was empty!
“Where on the earth is the dumb creature? It couldn’t go anywhere!”
Suddenly, a huge shadow covered him. As he looked up, he saw the beautiful new creature the chrysalis had become. Now, she was a beautiful butterfly with brightly colored wings. The butterfly smiled proudly and silently at the ant.



Appearances are deceptive.





개미와 번데기
어느 날 어느 한 개미가 먹을 것을 찾아 민첩하게 움직이고 있었다. 그가 돌아다닐 때, 변화하려 는 번데기와 마주쳤다.
그 개미는 번데기를 보며 조롱했다.
"얘. 너는 불쌍한 작은 생물이구나. 너는 번데기일 뿐이고 어디에도 갈 수 없어!"
개미의 신랄한 말을 듣고, 번데기 속에 있던 벌레는 대답하지 않았다. 그녀는 자신의 눈을 감고, 그 개미가 사라질 때까지 깊게 숨어있었다.
몇 일 후, 그 개미는 번데기를 다시 한번 지나갔지만, 그것은 비어있었다!
"그 바보스러운 생물은 도대체 어디로 간거야? 그것은 아무데도 갈 수 없는데!"
갑자기 커다란 그림자가 그를 덮었다. 그가 위를 보자, 번데기가 변한 아름다운 새로운 생물을 보았다. 이제 그녀는 밝게 물든 날개를 가진 아름다운 나비였다. 그 나비는 그 개미를 보며 자랑스럽고 조용히 미소 지었다.
